Definitions & Scope

This section clarifies the terms, conditions, and boundaries that apply to our consulting and trade facilitation services. Reading these notes helps avoid misunderstandings and ensures both parties share the same expectations.

What exactly does "cross-cultural business consulting" cover?

Our consulting includes market entry strategy, partner vetting, negotiation support, and cultural liaison for South African companies entering Southeast Asian and Eurasian markets. It does not include legal advice, tax structuring, or financial auditing. Any such needs must be addressed by separately engaged professionals.

Are trade facilitation services guaranteed to reduce customs delays?

We provide documentation guidance, route optimization, and regulatory updates based on current trade agreements. However, customs clearance times depend on local authorities, cargo type, and completeness of paperwork. We cannot guarantee specific clearance durations or exemption from inspections.

Which markets are considered "Eurasian" in your service scope?

We focus on the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan (EAEU member states), plus Ukraine and Georgia where applicable. Services for other Eurasian countries may be available upon request but require separate feasibility assessment.

Do you represent any government or trade authority?

No. ThaiRus is a private consulting firm. We do not act on behalf of any government, chamber of commerce, or international body. Our recommendations are independent and based on publicly available regulations and our own research.

What is the difference between a "consulting engagement" and a "facilitation project"?

A consulting engagement involves analysis, strategy, and recommendations delivered as reports or meetings. A facilitation project includes active coordination with third parties (logistics providers, translators, local agents) on behalf of the client. Each type has separate terms and fee structures, detailed in the service agreement.

Can you handle documentation for any product category?

We handle most industrial, agricultural, and consumer goods. Restricted items (weapons, narcotics, endangered species, certain chemicals) are excluded. For sensitive or regulated products, we will advise on required permits but cannot guarantee issuance by authorities.
